Reminders:
-MP2 Sports Afternoon: Come along to see how your child has developed their knowledge and skill-set in Benchball

-Litska's Cook Book
As a leaving project Litska is putting together a cook book for charity. All monies raised will go to underprivileged children in Nigeria.
Please send in any recipes that are special to you as long as any drawings from your child. 

**Home Learning**
-Please make sure your child brings their home learning folder to school every Friday. 
Their spelling reflection score will be written on the previous week's sheet, please check this with your child to see how they've done.
-Please practice the times tables and related division facts for the 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 times tables e.g. 3 x 4 =... and 12 divided by 4 = .....
-This week there is a link to Maths and children are asked to practice the Roman Numerals


Literacy learning outcomes:

Knowledge:

To know the features of persuasive writing

Skill:

To be able to read a text.

To be able to find information in a text.

To be able to discuss a text.

To be able to create a poster advertising a toy.

To be able to use persuasive phrases from our phrase bank.

To design an i-movie t.v. add for the chosen toy. 


Understanding

        To discuss how certain words and phrases are used to persuade people to purchase products. 


Mathematics learning outcomes:

 Knowledge:      
        To know the 8 times tables.
        To know that the meaning of numerator and denominator

Skills:   
        To be able to find fractions of a set of objects
        To be able to add and subtract fractions with the same denominator
        

Understanding:  
        To explain how to find a given fraction of a set of objects


IPC - 'Gateways to the World' - Airports

Geography:
Knowledge:      
        To know North, South, East and West

Skills:   
        To be able to identify geographical features of the area surrounding school (Zima)
        To be able to use a map to locate certain geographical features

Understanding:  
        To talk about the difference of the geographical features here to those in other places they have lived/visited
