Milepost 2 Interhouse Sports Celebration - cricket, was a great success and the children enjoyed having the opportunity to share their new skills and knowledge with the parents. It was also fantastic to see all the parents getting involved and having a turn at the end!

Wednesday 25th May - Literacy Open Learning Session
    -This is an opportunity for parents to come in and share learning in a Literacy lesson with the children
    -8:30am to 9:30am

Friday 27th May - International Children's Day
    -Children to wear their t-shirts to school
    *T-shirts will be sent home today (Monday 23rd) to be ironed (email to follow)


Literacy learning outcomes:

Knowledge:

To know the features of a myth.

To know what a quest myth is. 

Skill:

To be able to read a text [Myth].

To be able to find information in a text.

To be able to discuss a text.

To be able to recount a story using a story-board.

To be able to write a descriptive paragraph about the setting of a story.


Understanding

        To discuss how different characters may have different points of view. 


Mathematics learning outcomes:
                     Knowledge:

To know the 8 times tables and related division facts.

Skill:

      To be able to find equivalent fractions, using division

To be able to say whether an angle is a right angle, larger than or smaller than.

Understanding

       To explain how division can help us to find fractions



IPC - 'Fashion - popular culture'

                    Knowledge:

To know a variety of music apps. 

To know work by a famous artist.

Skill:

To be able to use music apps.

To be able to make my own art work based on the style of a famous artist. 


Understanding
       To explain the chosen elements of my art work.
       To think about the type of music which would suits my design.
