Thank you to all those parents who came along and participated in our Maths open learning session. It is always great for the children to share their learning and routines. 

Reminders:

-International Children's Day (Friday 26th May)


**Home Learning**
-Please make sure your child brings their home learning folder to school every Friday. 
Their spelling reflection score will be written on the previous week's sheet, please check this with your child to see how they've done.
-Please practice the times tables and related division facts for the 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 times tables e.g. 3 x 4 =... and 12 divided by 4 = .....


Literacy learning outcomes:

Knowledge:

To know the features of a non-chronological report.

Skill:

To be able to read a text.

To be able to find information in a text.

To be able to discuss a text.

To be able to identify the key features of a non-chronological report.

To be able to research information. 

To be able to write a non-chronological report (linked to the artist we are studying in Art-IPC)


Understanding

        To discuss the effect of using inserted clauses.
        To discuss the features of a non-chronological report and why they might be used.

Mathematics learning outcomes:

 Knowledge:      
        To know the 8 times tables.
        To know Roman numerals I to XII

Skills:   
        To be able to use the grid method to multiply 2-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers
        To be able to tell the time to the nearest minute
        To be able to compare time durations


Understanding:  
        To explain the meaning of am and pm
