Welcome back! We hope you are all rested and ready for an exciting new term!

We start Term 3 with our new IPC unit 'Feel the Force!'. Ask your child about their Entry Point when they come home on Tuesday!

This week there will also be a focus on 'Click and Communicate with Respect', which is a look into using the internet both safely and respectfully. There will activities set up to support awareness of a variety of issues that come with using the internet and guidance in how to deal with them appropriately. 

**Home Learning**
-Please make sure your child has their home learning folder every Friday. Spelling reflection scores are written on the sheet so you can check this with your child to see how they've done.
-Please practice the times tables and related division facts for the 3, 4, 6 and 7 times tables e.g. 3 x 4 =... and 12 divided by 4 = .....

Literacy learning outcomes:


To know the features of an adventure story.


To be able to read a text.

To be able to find information in a text.

To be able to discuss a text.

To be able to identify the features of an adventure story.

To be able to write a character description.

To be able to use inserted clauses e.g. Ms. Emma, the P4 teacher, entered the classroom. 


       To explain the purpose of adding inserted clauses. 
       To discuss how you know if a story is an adventure story.

Mathematics learning outcomes:

        To know the 6 x tables and related division facts.
        To know the place value of 3 digit numbers.

        To be able to show what each number is worth in a 3-digit number.
        To be able to order and compare 3-digit numbers.
        To be able to use place value to add and subtract amounts of money (pounds and pence).
        To be able to answer word problems related to place value. 

        To explain the use of the decimal point when using pounds and pence.
