Week 13

Another exciting week ahead developing our Personal Qualities. Starting the week with learning about the colour wheel and making our own colours in Art - lots of thoughtfulness will be needed here.  We continue with our resilience in mathematics making sure we continue our mental maths with ten minutes per day focusing on number activities - this week its the 6 and 7 times tables.


Literacy learning outcomes:

Knowledge:

To know how to write a letter. 

Skill:

To be able to use full stops, speech marks, commas and exclamation marks.

To be able to write a letter for a specific purpose.

To be able to write a book review. 

Understanding

       To explain why the style of letters should change for specific audiences and purposes. 

Mathematics learning outcomes:

Knowledge:

To know the 6 and 7 times tables. 

To know  how to divide a number by another number using different methods.  

Skill:

To be able to divide a number by a number. 

To be able to use multiplication to answer questions.

To be able to calculate the reminder in division questions. 

Understanding

      To explain the process of division.
      


International Primary Curriculum (IPC) learning outcomes:

Knowledge:

To know the primary colours. 

To know what colour is made when you mix two primary colours together. 

Skill:

To be able to use tools with accuracy. 

To be able to use colour effectively when creating a picture of a specific scene. 

Understanding

      To explain how light is made up of colours.
