The Big Question

How can you break a problem into smaller steps and what learning tools will help you?

The children tried to solve the problem by working together communicating their ideas and really think about how they could solve it. They adapted their strategies and used their resilience.
They tried writing down different number sentences that made 10. They struggled with arranging the numbers the right way and experimented in a variety of ways.

We used the Spy Game so that 1 spy from each team could look at the other teams approach to 'steal' ideas.

Arrange the numbers 1 to 6 in each set of circles below.

The sum of each side of the triangle should equal the number in the centre of the triangular shape.
