In Literacy we are reading the story Stone Soup which links with our IPC Unit: We are what we eat.
We are focusing on the setting of the story and on using adjectives in our writing to make our stories more interesting for an audience.
We particularly focus on adjectives you can use when describing food: delicious, crispy, creamy, crunchy, fizzy e.g.

In Mental Maths we are learning to improve counting in 2's, 5's and 10's to a 100. We use the cooperative learning structure Rally Robin to practice. We noticed that we can count further every day and that we are getting faster at it! We are getting familiar with setting our own targets.

In Maths we are learning to partition 2-digit number into Tens and Units and order number up to at least 100 and position them on a 100 square.
We made links with our IPC Unit in maths. We collected data of what children eat for breakfast and we will present the data in a bar chart. We will read and interpret the data.

In IPC we started our Science and we are learning to gather information from simple texts. We are using texts for research about the food groups and we will present our knowledge skills and understanding of the subject in a mini-team presentation.
