The Big Question IPC - How do we affect the world we live in?
How do we affect our forests and how do we grow plants for our own use? 

This week we will continue to focus on Science

  • Know the names and jobs of the parts of a plant
  • Know the life cycle of a plant

  • To be ale to use Venn diagrams to find out what all living things have in common
  • To be able to Ask scientific questions about what a plant needs to survive=
  • To be able to set up and carrying out simple investigations to answer these questions e.g. Do plants need water to grow well?
Performance of Thinking
Think about how humans and animals are different or the same in how they affect the world around them.

The Big Question Literacy: How to spark imagination? 

  • know the structure of a story
  • know tools for literacy learning (adjectives mat, thesaurus, dictionary)
  • to be able to develop a middle of a story
  • to be able to reflect on writing and make improvements

Use a Rubric for reflection on punctuation 

The Big Question Maths: How can I make a maths problem visible?

  • Know multiples of 2 and 10.
  • Know odd and even numbers to at least 20
  • To be able to count in 10s
  • To be able to count in 2s and 10s
  • To be able to find halves and quarters of shapes by folding
  • To be able to recognise which shapes are divided in halves/ quarters and which are not
  • To be able to colour ¼ or ¾ of shapes
