Week Beginning 13/3/17

We have a very busy week ahead of us with school show final rehearsals, birthdays (!!) and lots of fun learning.

In IPC Learning we will continue with our Science Tasks. In Science we will be using our Co-operation, Resilience and Enquiry Skills to answer the Big Question: 
What makes a good scientist?


Knowledge:
  • I know the names and properties I use in scientific investigations
    • Insulator and conductor
Skills:
  • To be able to identify ways of finding out about scientific issues
REMINDER - HOME LEARNING DUE WEDNESDAY!


In LITERACY Learning this week we will be begin with our report writing unit.
Skills:
  • To be able to identify parts of a report
  • To be able to contribute ideas to shared writing
Knowledge:
  • To know the structure of a report
In MATHS Learning this week we will thinking more deeply about our counting and addition and subtraction skills, using reasoning to develop a deeper understanding.
Skills:
  • To be able to create true number sentences using cards
  • To be able to convince others and explain reasoning in relation to counting patterns
  • To be able to explain the inverse relationship of addition and subtraction: i.e.know that 10 = 4 + 6 means you also know 10 = 6 + 4, 10 - 4 = 6 and 10 - 6 = 4
    • To be able to show this is a variety of ways such as bar model
Knowledge:
  • Know the bonds to 10
  • Know that two parts make a whole
