Using co-operation to measure

How long is the table? How high is the chair? What is longer - the book or the tray?

We used co-operation to indirectly measure objects this week in order to work out what was the longest and the shortest. As the week progress we discovered that in order to get an accurate measurement we needed to make sure that:

- the bases were aligned
- our unit of measurement (selected independently) was suitable
- our measures were straight
- there were no gaps or overlaps.

What could you measure and with what?
