In our next Unit of Learning the Early Years classes at Sakhalin International School are excited to have been selected and given the opportunity by IPC/IEYC curriculum writers to trial the new International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC). We will be taking part in a brand new unit of learning named To The Rescue!

We will begin the week with our Entry Point. The children will find a mystery box in the classroom that has been left by a superhero! Before we have a chance to open the box we are going to have a visit from the villain Mighty Freeze. He is going to make us freeze while he runs away with the mystery box. This will lead to a treasure hunt to find it.

We will have a big focus on literacy this week as we explore a variety of superhero books. These books have links to food so we will also be exploring different types of fruit and vegetables this week too. The main story we will focus on is called Super Tato. Select the link to watch the story online.
