A great start to the term already! We were surprised to find that Rufus the Robot wasn't as good as keeping the ToyShop tidy as we thought he would be... perhaps he is broken?

This lead us into our first Big Question of the week:

WHAT HAPPENS IF A TOY IS BROKEN?

The children were given this as a thinking question this morning and we will discuss it later on in the week in more detail.

We shared the story Robot RumpusI by Sean Taylor and Ross Wilson (link below) then asked the children
What kind of robot would you like to have?

This led to a great discussion and we generated lots of ideas - cook-bots, transport-bots, hair-bots, clean-bots and even play-bots! We made our own robots out of craft materials and wrote sentences about them using the sentence starter I can...
