This week I am using the story 'The Princess and the Pea' to help guide home learning and make more connections with food. This story will be used for a new display we are putting up in the Library. The display will showcase stories from around the world. The Princess and the Pea originates in Denmark and was written by Hans Christian Anderson. Could you help your child find Denmark on the map? Ask them if they think this is a hot or cold country and why? The photos and home learning that the child have been doing will be used for this display.

The 4 strands that are being focused on;

Independence and interdependence
1.18 taking responsibility for their own actions

Communicating

2.3 using language skills in a variety of contexts

Healthy Living
4.3 Making choices
4.4 Paying attention

New home learning;
1 - A,B,C and D recording sheets are all connected with 2D shapes, patterns and counting.
2 - Princess and the Pea memory game will help your child pay attention and consolidate understanding of the characters within the story.
3 - Making choice about their favourite lunch.
4 - Spelling High Frequency Words.

This week I was send lots of photos, please keep sending me photos and videos especially of the Pancake Rap!!
Have a great few days learning at home.
