The children have started to use Reading Eggs; this is a tool used at school to help your child with their literacy skills; in reading, spelling, comprehension and writing. Each week the children will use Reading Eggs on the classroom IPads.  This week I am helping all the children complete the Reading Eggs assessment to ensure they start at an appropriate level. So far the children are loving this site and I am confident it will not only help literacy skills but aid ICT skills too.

I have sent your child's login and password home but this is also now inside their reading record.

If you want to use this at home I would ask that no adult or sibling helps your child complete learning tasks. If your child is getting help to complete the tasks it will mean that the new level they go onto will be too difficult when they do this independently in school time. I want the P1's to build up their confidence, knowledge, skills and understanding of reading in their own time.

Here is how you can access this at home;

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

Type in the website - www.readingeggs.co.uk

Enter your child’s login details and password on the Members login section of the homepage.

Have fun learning more about phonics, blending, spelling and reading.
