We have now come to the end of our Weather Wonders Unit and this coming week we have our Reflection Week. The children will have the opportunity to reflect on all their new skills and knowledge that they have learned across their Weather Unit. We have selected a different theme of Unit focused learning each day. The children will have opportunities to choose their favourite learning activities from the unit and show and discuss their new learning with the other children and teachers.

Our Nursery Exit Point will be the children’s Assembly performance. The assembly contains a selection of the songs, dances, poem and music they have explored throughout their Weather Wonders unit. The children will practice their responsibilities for their assembly throughout this week. They are very excited to show you all, you are very welcome to come along to watch. (10th February 8.40am)

The Nursery children who attend afternoon sessions will also take part in a special snow themed afternoon with the primary 1s as part of their Exit Point. They will have to opportunity to reflect on new discoveries they made through experiments and exploration.  Here is an experiment you could practice at home perfect for this winter weather!;

The children will have a big focus on the personal quality Reflection (which was previously called Thoughtfulness). They will practice thinking back on their favourite learning, games, role-play and crafts in the Unit. We will use our personal Learning Journey books to help us to reflect. On Tuesday morning our morning question for children/parents will be to look through your learning journey book to reflect on together.
