Over the next two weeks we begin Learning Block 1; Dinosaurs Big and Small. The children will take part in a maths focus; sorting various sizes of dinosaur from smallest to largest, sorting and identifying different categories of dinosaur, exploring size and measurement and making predictions.

Our Big Question this week is; Do you think that having real dinosaurs in our Nursery would be fun?

We will first take a vote. Then we will begin to gather ideas of the pros and cons of this. This will help the children to begin to think about the actual size of dinosaurs, what kind of food they ate and make predictions on what might happen.

Have a look at the dinosaur size charts to support your child in developing an understanding of the real size of a dinosaur.

This week we will practice showing the Personal Quality Adaptability. The children will practice developing strategies for coping with change and unfamiliar settings.
