Thank you all for coming to our Maths open morning. The children loved sharing their learning with you!

This coming week we finish Learning Block 1; Looking after Minibeasts. We are going to consider the needs of a minibeast and what environment would make them happy and comfortable. We will make a home for a variety of different Minibeasts and choose from a selection of materials; sand, water, dough, grass, leaves, sticks etc. The children will practice sharing their personal ideas and think about their past experiences to help them choose. We will also have a big focus on books that are Non-fiction/Fact books. We will look at some in the class and learn lots of new knowledge. Then we will make our very own class information bug book!

The BIG question is Are all Minibeasts small? Through our learning this week we will challenge our past ideas about Minibeasts and learn lots of new information in the non-fiction books. This will help us to discuss and answer this BIG question!

This week we will practice using the Personal Quality Reflection (Previously Thoughtfulness). We are going to practice thinking
