We have a special story book focus on Alien's Love Underpants this week. This is a funny story about Alien's searching Earth for Underpants to steal! We will take part in various learning linked to story comprehension and sequencing.

In the afternoon’s we continue to learn about the uniforms of different people in our community. We will explore life guards, police, security guard, fireman, doctor etc.

We are going to spend these two shorter weeks exploring the Personal Quality International Mindedness. We will learn about the differences between uniforms worn around the world. We will practice comparing and identifying the differences and similarities.

These are four main learning strands that we are focusing on this week;

Independence and Interdependence

1.4 their own gender and opposite gender

2.1 using gesture and expressive body movement for communication

3.9 using a variety of strategies for exploring and making sense of the world

Healthy Living

4.5  concentrating

This week you can look at uniforms worn in your home country. Discuss the colours, special accessories they wear, reasons they might need to wear these clothes in their special job. This will help your child recognise the differences between the uniforms worn in their home and host country.

Phonics Learning (Afternoon Nursery Kids):

This week’s Jolly Phonic letters are Pp and Nn. The children are learning to identify their sound, the ppp and nnn song and their action. At home this week you could print out these letters in different font. Then your child can practice cutting them out and making a letter collage by gluing them on coloured paper. Cutting practice strengthens your child’s hand and develops their fine motor skills to prepare them for pencil control and handwriting.
