Welcome back to Nursery!

This week in Nursery we have a special focus on colour changing. The children will practice colour mixing using paint, creating colour through lights and experiment with colour using food colourings. We will read two special story books this week to support us in exploring colour; Elmer: By David Mckee & The Rainbow Fish: Marcus Pfister.

The Personal Quality we will focus on this week is Enquiry. The children will practice their enquiry skills by investigating and experimenting with colour in a variety of ways.

These are four main learning strands that we are focusing on this week;

Independence and Interdependence

1.24 expressing their own ideas

2.25 a variety of types of music, are, dance and drama as expressions of feeling, mood, situation, occasion and culture

3.3 trying things out, exploring and curiosity as important and valued ways of learning

Healthy Living

4.8 expressing emotions and emotional needs
