This coming week we begin Learning Block 4; Preparing For The Ball. We will start to make a Minibeast costume! We are going to take part in junk modeling to make different features of Minibeasts. The children will practice listening to instructions and following them step by step. We will work together as a team making some shared costumes too which we can include in our role-play area.

We continue our investigation into the BIG question is How do insects move around? As we take part in the ‘Ugly Bug Ball’ song and dance we will enquire and practice the different ways that a variety of Minibeasts move. We will record our findings during circle time on a chart.

This week we will again practice using the Personal Quality Respect. The song is called the Ugly Bug Ball. We will discuss if we think insects are ugly or beautiful. We will talk about this word and decide if using it shows respect for the Minibeasts.
