Viewing leaf epidermis

Middle Years students had the chance to investigate the external structure of the leaf today. Comparing the upper and lower epidermis they were able to link learning to the process of photosynthesis and energy transfers. Ask your child how they managed this, what they found out and how they recorded their results. 

How did this link to the Big Idea for this unit?
